  • First, estimate the market value of your property.
  • Then, compare this value to your assessment to calculate the "level of assessment".
  • You must take this step to confirm there is an equity problem with your assessment.
  • If you are trying a different method, you may not be able to show that your assessment is unfair.
  • See common weaknesses in equity positions

Unless you get better evidence, you probably will not succeed.  Ask yourself: Is it worth my time and expense to continue with the appeal?
