June 13, 2022 Effective August 15, 2022, Erin Frew has been appointed Acting Chair of the Property Assessment Appeal Board.  
May 6, 2022 The Board has released the first interactive application of its kind in British Columbia.  The Pilot Project – called the Equity Evaluator - provides the power of Artificial Intelligence to residential homeowners.  If you have an appeal with the Board, you can try the application.
February 14, 2022 The Board has released its 2021 Annual Report.  We would like to acknowledge our stakeholders as achievement of the Board’s performance targets speaks highly of the level of cooperation between the parties to appeals before the Board.  Please click here for the highlights.

December 28, 2021 Further to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Report, the Board outlines its commitment to truth and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.  Read more here.
August 11, 2021 The Board's offices will be closed on September 30, 2021 in observance of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation.
August 3, 2021 The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of a new fulltime Vice Chair, Zahra H. Jimale.  
April 29, 2021 After consultation with stakeholders, the Board has amended its Rules of Practice and Procedure by instituting Rule 14.1 and Form 11.
April 23, 2021 The Board has enhanced the “Do I have a strong case” solution explorer platform to include self-represented commercial appellants.

March 8, 2021 The Board has released its 2020 Annual Report.
February 22, 2021 The Board gives notice to the profession that beginning with appeals filed in 2021, the Board will send acknowledgement letters to appellants for any appeals filed on their behalf, including those filed by agents or counsel.
February 16, 2021 The Board gives notice to the profession that the deadline for filing 2021 appeals with the Board will be APRIL 30, 2021 in accordance with section 50(3) of the Assessment Act.
